Hi I have a question about LTE and Sim cards, I bought my daughter a new AT&T Vivid, does she need a different Sim card to get LTE service? She has a Sim from her Samsung Focus which is an active phone. Thanks

If you're going from a non-LTE sim card to and LTE phone, yeah. AT&T's also got to do something on its end to turn on data for an LTE-capable phone, even if you've already got a newer SIM on an older phone. (That make sense?)

That's what I had to do. I had a newer SIM card, but had yet to use it on an LTE-capable phone. Had to call to get things changed up.

Same for me going from Inspire to Vivid. As long as you know in advance then they can change the data package from 4G to LTE. otherwise it is a headache
