Early Upgrades

I can upgrade from my Atrix 4G next May. I'd really like to upgrade to a GS3. I know managers will usually waive the $250 upgrade fee but not for new devices (or special devices like the iPhone and GNote). Anyone have any success with waiving the fee? Thanks in advance!

If it doesn't work over the phone, try a 3rd party retailer. They usually try to sell anyway they can since they charge more than online stores.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think they'd really be able to waive the $250 fee from AT&T though?

I've never had to pay a $250 upgrade fee with ATT. That's pretty steep.

The upgrade fee is not that steep. It means you get the gs3 for 450. Plus u get to sell your current smart phone which makes it cheaper.

The only time I have ever seen the 250 fee is for early iPhone upgrade. I've never heard of a non iPhone early upgrade. The gs3 is a $500 phone online the last time I checked for unactivated.

I think the $250 they are talking about is the unsubsidized price, not really an additional fee.

I was wondering about this myself since I did buy the SGS III their was an early upgrade fee which said it was $36 on my next bill with some weird other stuff like prorated costs that equaled to $190 some dollars.I'm hoping my bill isn't that much cause usually I upgrade each year and get an billing for $106 when my usual bill is $86.The only thing I saw on my purchase at the store was the extra $250 which the sales rep said that that would go to whatever accessories I wanted included with the phone as an early upgrade option plus the cost of the phone too.

No there's no early upgrade period unless your an I phone user you ha e to pay the standard 60 dollar upgrade fee plus the full price of the phone if I'm no mistaken????
