Hey all,

I'm debating a switch to AT&T. There are rumors swirling around the Note 2, but who knows when it would actually ship.

If you had to choose between these two, which would you get? Or would you wait for the Note 2?

I can't say I'm in a terrible hurry to switch or anything, but I have been debating it lately.

Have you held either one of them in your hand yet?

I picked up a Note at Best Buy and instantly put it down. Way too massive for anything I need/want.

My friend has a Note. I held it a few months ago. While it seemed big, it didn't seem unwieldy to me. I only played with it for a minute yet. I haven't seen the SGS3 yet though.

I did get to see the GS3 at the AT&T store the other day. It's very sleek. Seems large compared to my GS2 - but the device is nice. If I were to choose just between the two, I'd go for the GS3. But that's me and my aversion to gigantic odd devices used as phones.

The one surprising thing was the "pebble blue" seemed a bit more purple to me than I expected.

I'll see if I can stop by a store on the way home. I haven't seen anything pebble blue yet. My friend had a white Note and I definitely didn't like that color.

If deciding between those two go with s3. Better processor, fast, fluid, better battery life, nice screen and big but not overly large. If you like the note though would wait for the 2. It will be a few months though before we know on launch info. You can't go wrong with the s3.

I ended up stopping and checking them out. The Note's definitely big, but it didn't feel overly so. My main concern would be lugging it around it my pocket.

SGS3 is definitely pretty nice too.

Both are thin, and I liked them. Sad this is they made me realize how much of a brick my Rezound is with the extended battery on it.

Upshot:

- Galaxy Note: Extra half inch of screen space.

- S3: ICS instead of Gingerbread, better battery life, newer CPU/GPU, double the RAM, higher pixel density.

I'd hold both of them in my hand at an AT&T store and see how important the half inch of screen size is.

If you like the Note better and can wait, hold out for the 2. If not go with the S3. It's the best Samsung out now. It's a pretty phone (this coming from a dedicated HTC fan who is tempted by the S3l

I needed to do away with having to carry a phone & a tablet so I decided on the Note. I absolutely love it. I don't miss my iPhone one bit!! Now when I use my iPod touch the screen looks so tiny. I couldn't go back to a smaller screen. If I could've waited for the Note 2 I would have. But, I love my Note & am happy I got it. I bought a second battery for it so no problems there. Oh, & it fits nicely in my back pocket. I did however buy a leather holster case for it since I prefer to carry it that way.

Pick which ever one is better for you,I just picked up the SGS III and its nice compared to my old Infuse I had.So far I've had no dropped calls and the phone performs well with multitasking with a bunch of apps while I'm on the go.I've seen some minor hiccups but nothing bad compared to older android phones.

I went with the Note, and I have no regrets. It's a stellar phone, and I use the stylus all the time.

I picked up the note, its really amazing. Needed to replace having a phone and tablet. I had some doubts about the size, but after the first couple hours... no regrets.
