sim swapping

If i swap sim cards with someone with a different plan could there be anything bad that att could put on me like data charges or knowing its on a different phone than mine

Your SIM is your connection to your account. The only thing that could happen, is if you have a "dumb" phone and toss the SIM in a smartphone, and an IMEI sweep catches it, they;ll force you on a data plan.

If you're on contract and you switch to a non-smartphone, I think they make you keep the plan or pay for your device in full. Between smartphones (I don't know about switching between platforms), they don't care.

Yea i went from a iPhone to a dumb phone and still am charged for data...
