    I have a transformer prime, i'm looking for a non stock video player... any recommendation. I don't care if it cost.

    Try out MX player I have it on my tablet and it works great plus it's free.

    I like Dice Player. It plays MKV format along with loads more.

    I am happy with Dice player on my Acer100. Using the free ad version now, but will get aid version soon.

    Install the Powerful Music Player for Android. It is a non stock video play. Its free of that you can download from the internet.

    Another vote for MX Player here. I use it on my Galaxy Nexus now, and on my Motorola Xoom when I still had it.

    It will be one of the first apps that I install on my Nexus 7.

    I finally chose mx player also...it works great and plays my vob files

    I tried lots of apps for my One x(tegra 3). I prefer Dice player over MX cause it can play 1080 videos flawlessly(for some reason MX could not...) Go for Dice!
