Galaxy S4 - Unsure if my s4 is unlocked after using At&t unlock code

Hi everyone,

I have a question. I am confused as to if my phone was unlocked or not. I called At&t and they gave me the unlock code. I travel often and used one of my foreign sim card to put into the phone as instructed. The unlock menu came on. I input the given unlock code and then it said "unlock request unsuccessful." But the confusing part is that it didn't go back to the unlock screen. It just went to the main screen ( with all my apps, emails, text like normal). So I turned off the phone and took out the sim and tried it again with the same foreign sim card to try the unlock again just in case I might have input the wrong code. However, the unlock menu never popped up again and just started up normally. I have no idea what happened? :/ Any help? Thanks for reading!

I believe once you have Entered the unlock code. .you can swap SIMMS out at will. .
No need to unlock every time you change your SIM ,.

Also. .
Try putting in a different carrier sim even your old USA one and see if you can call..then you eill Know for sure.
