Google Assistant Not Working After Switching from Nova Launcher to OneUI launcher (S22U)

I have a Samsung S22U and have been using Nova Launcher since i got the phone a year ago. I just switched over to using OneUI launcher and now my Google Assistant doesn't work. I say "hey Google" and the phone vibrates for a second but the Google Assistant doesn't come up. I have it set to be my default assistant and i retrained my voice just incase that was the problem but it still isn't working.

Try clearing data then force stop the Google app then check voice is on

force stopping it worked. I have no idea why but it works now. Thanks for the help.
