Android Central Question

I have selected the memory card (32GB) as the primary storage. My internal memory is 16GB and is at 90% while my mem card is at 18%. Why aren't apps and pics and videos getting stored on the mem card.

I also keep having to install Instagram as it keep uninstalling itself.

You can't "select the memory card as the primary storage" in Android - primary storage, and the only place downloads go, and apps are installed, is internal storage.

You can open your camera app and see if, in its Settings, it has a choice of locations to save pictures. If not, you can find a lot of camera apps in the Play store that can.

But installing apps defaults to internal storage because that's the way Android is written (for a few reasons, all legitimate, not "just because they want to").

As for Instagram, maybe you don't have enough free internal storage. (Android has to keep about half a GB [depending on version] free for its own use.)
