Insurance claim question

I have a z fold 3 and after 18 months the bristles on one side of the hinge dislodged and the other side I can only guess is bunched up a bit causing the phone to not lay flat. Other than that it works fine but giggles and laughs I went onto asurion or whatever the name is and to my surprise it is only a $99 deductible. The thing is, they don't have any https://vlc.onl/ z fold 3 and would send a z fold 4. Is it worth it to do the claim and go to a 4? Or just keep using 3? I cant lie and say the screen not folding flat isn't annoying but it's also not the worst ive seen yet.

Ive tried the sticky note thing to maybe get the other bristle unstuck but it didn't do anything and I didnt want to make it worse.

I would definitely go for the Fold 4 at that price

A $100 upgrade to the fold 4 seems like a no-brainer even if the hinge wasn't damaged.

For a hundred bucks I'd be all over a Fold 4. Is it new or refurbished?

If the 4 has no issues of it's own, I'd definitely go for that trade. $99 is better than the trade in difference recently offered to people moving from a Z-flip 4 to a 5.
