I recently ditched my S5 with hotspot capabilities and am thinking of going back I'm so frustrated.
I bought the S7 intending to root it but have since found out the g930v is pretty much not rootable.
Fine.
So I tried PDAnet to my minix box so I can watch my direct TV now and Netflix. Nope. Neither supported for minix.
Fine.
Actually went out and bought a new PC with windows 10 to utilize the windows hotspot feature. With Pdanet connected in either wifi direct or USB mode it works and windows broadcasts my phones internet out. But within a half hour it will disconnect. It also signs me out of my direct tv now every time it disconnects.
To get it reconnected I have to close pdanet on my phone and my computer. shut off all wifi/data connects and then restart them. Then link them back up and resign into my TV account every 20 minutes.
I'm about to go back to the beat up S5. Am I doing something wrong here?
