"unkown" program/app using data found on my android

all I could find was that it had the UID of -253, and it I couldn't identify what is was because even through adb debug, it didn't come up as an application or service, though I found 3 mentions when I entered "adb shell dumpsys netstats detail 192.168.1.254"

could this be malware? It only uses roughly 2.5-5mbs per day.

Is it still showing up on your daily use? These are usually apps that you have uninstalled (the record of the data usage remains, but since the app has been uninstalled, the named references are gone as well).
