Updates in notifications

1. What is the file size of lollipop update? and normal android updates? Roughly what is the time taken to update?

2. In "notifications", whenever there is a "software update", it means android updates? It does not say where is the update from, what version or software.

3. What is the biggest file size of updates that you have come across?

"Software Update" in the Notification Bar indicates some kind of over-the-air system update. It doesn't necessarily mean an increase of the Android version--it could just be security patches, modifications to bloatware, and addition or removal of other bloatware.

Major system updates can be upwards of 300-400 MB.
