Why do gifs sent from Android (Samsung Galaxy) show up on iPhones as stills??ay)

[Android Central Question]

This has been an ongoing problem.. No matter what the source of the gif( my own design, one from texting app, one from popular GIF site...) when sent my fellow Android phone owners receive them as animated gifs but the iPhone recipients receive them as still photos.
Ive asked on Samsung, Ive asked via iPhone forum & received no solution that works. Text settings are accurate on MMS , its not a size issue.... Extremely frustrating. Thanks.
