Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
I am starting to feel remiss by not relaying my Rezound battery experience. So, here goes...
Using the Rezound battery I have observed an estimated 15.7 percent increase in battery duration over the standard ThunderBolt battery. It is somewhat ironic that 1620mAh is 15.7 percent higher than 1400. Anyway, seriously, this has been my experience. I have not seen any "miraculous" performance increase. Only what was expected. However, it is still a very nice increase.

I have to say I wish I'd been a little more academic or scientific about my battery experiences prior to this, such that I could get that precise. Battery use is kinda a lifestyle thing for me. I had simply gotten to the point where I didn't think about it and worked around what the limitations were. I knew that if I have that chance, I charge whenever possible. Long car ride? Plug in. Overnight? Plug in. Etc. It's really a pleasure to look down at the phone and see way more power still present than I expected.

Well, I don't want to make any presumptions about anybody's personal financial situations, but for me, for $21.61 with tax - yes. Very, very worth it. Worth it enough to order my son one. Worth it enough to call my boss and tell her to order herself one. Especially since I spent somewhere around $50 for the extended battery.

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
Day 2 with my Rezound battery and I can say that it is slightly better than the stock one. Yesterday, it only lasted about the same length of time. Now I am at 57% after only 7 hrs, 35 minutes. But I did spend a lot more time talking on my phone today. Only a small amount of internet usage. I am hoping that it will be even better tomorrow as others here has stated.

Rezound Battery - not lasting as long some days
Yesterday i removed my TB from the charger at about 5:30am and was at an all-day training for my job in an area where my 4G coverage seemed to fluctuate between 4G, 3G, & 1X most of the day.
I surfed the internet and send 30+ text messages during the day and by 3:15pm; my phone was at 5% battery life. I figured since the coverage was fluctuating the whole day, that was why my battery died out fast.
Today, i was at my normal office location for work and didn't surf the net or text as much. Only made a few calls, longest being 15-20 min or so. I unplugged at about 6:30am and now, its now 6:50pm my time and I’m down to 15% battery life.
My TB is stock/not rooted.
Anyone else having a similar experience??
I did have a few good days with light use where the battery lasted 20+ hours but the last few days are described above…

Re: Rezound Battery - not lasting as long some days
Same here
The first few days with the Rezound battery were great, I even went in to the Verizon store to tell them how much better the battery life was..but after a few days I think the phone properly calibrated the battery, and now it lasts about the same as my stock Thunderbolt battery.. Was getting about 9 hours with medium usage, 12 hours with light, all on 3G (do not use the 4G to save battery). Oh well guess it was hoping for miracles that and extra 250mah would do to much.. guess it is back to the extended battery for me, atleast for the winter (in case I am trapped in a snow storm,,lol) might try the Rezound battery again in the spring..depressing

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
Mine is still working the same as it did the first couple days. Works great on light use. I can go 2 days without charging. Moderate to heavy use needs a charge everyday but that's to be expected with any smartphone.

Sorry folks...dropped the ball. 5th charge was heavy to mod use for 14 hours. 6th charge mod use for 21 hours. Have concluded that with moderate use, which is my norm, a charge a day is the conclusion. Will still carry a car charger and an extra charger in my gig bag. For a double sawbuck, color me happy.

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
I have to say that it is much better now than the stock battery. I can go all day without using a charger. Stock battery I would have to charge mid to late afternoon. Now I don't have to plug it in until I go to bed. Definitely worth the $20.

Exactly the same here. I'd go one extra step and say the period between 100 and 95 is where the true extension is.
Anybody check the usage curve in the battery use widget? Fascinating. Battery sips until about 80% then drops like a stone and then sips again at the end.

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
Just ordered mine. And yeah, it was listed as full price until I put it in my cart. 19.99 with free shipping. Should get here Wedneday.
My main problem is I work in a building that has TERRIBLE reception. I get about 1 or 2 bars of cell coverage, not even 3G (sometimes not even 1x shows up). Only saving grace is our office wifi so my data could get through. In my situation, turning wifi off actually makes my battery worse since there is no cell data available. Worst part is, there is 4G coverage in the area, it's the building itself that's terrible... for everyone in our building - all carriers.
I purchased the extended battery from Verizon when I got the phone because of all the reviews of the phone. I knew what I was getting into, but it was 1 of 3 4G phones available at the time and I didn't like the other two choices. Unfortunately I hated the extra thickness of the extended battery so I stopped using it, and keep it in my bag as a backup battery if I'm in a pinch.
Since then, I've rooted, installed BAMF Forever with the Adrynalyne 3++ kernel, and just recently CPU Tuner. All of that has helped quite a bit, but I'd still like to squeeze every little minute out of a standard size battery that I can.
Once this comes in, I'll probably keep my stock battery as a fully charged backup, and sell the extended battery (and cover) on ebay. Though I suppose the extended battery would be good for watching movies on flights or something. - 02-17-2012, 12:53 AM #243

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
They're awesome! Been using two since mid November. Charge em via a Seidio Multi-function battery charger and swap out as needed. Rarely if ever use the extended battery anymore. They maintain a charge off full much, much longer than the 1400mAh batteries and last a lot longer. These are what the Thunderbolt should've originally shipped with!

Long term results are mixed here.
- Yes, the battery does last somewhat longer. Less so now, though, than when first installed.
- Any reboot of my phone shows a loss of at least 10, but sometimes as much as 20% of power.
- Recharging seems to max out at percentages of less than 100 - and then jump right up to 100 instantly.
There's definitely an issue with the battery's power level intelligence. I don't know any Rezound owners, but two Tbolt users who have this battery report the dame issues.

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
Mine works as it should. I can get through the day without wondering if I'll make it to a charger. My usage isn't that heavy but I usually do a solid hour of Netflix on lunch, 30 min of calls, and random texts in an average day. I plug it in over night with anywhere between 30-50% remaining. As for reboots, they consume anywhere between 0-5%. I've never seen more. Couldn't be happier.

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
Anyone know of any good deals going on for the Rezound battery? I'd also like to get the spare battery charger. I went into the verizon store yesterday and it was 29.99 with the 25% discount. Put the battery in my thunderbolt and it would not boot up. Seems odd that the battery would come with no juice whatsover. Told the clerk i would hold off until the price came down. Being that it wouldn't boot up i was skeptical that it would acually work in my bolt.

Re: Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99
It's still $19.99 with free 2 day shipping on Verizon's site . It says $39.99 until you add it to your cart. Don't sign into your account as that may change the price. The battery only charger is also listed as $29.99 online. But I'd check out the Seidio HTC Thunderbolt Multi Function Battery Charger here. It plugs directly into the wall. It's what I've been using to keep my five batteries charged (2 - standard 1400mAh, 2 - Rezound 1620mAh, and 1 - extended 2750mAh).
