I was wondering about that... I have a car charger from a BlackBerry Bold 9000 I use for work. It looks like it has the same plug as the TB, but I am concerned about the the difference in power, if any. Any thoughts?

I was curious about that myself. Personal experience shows that most of these are the same power rating but almost all of them have the ratings on the plug. I checked all of mine that are wall outlets plugs and they are identical. So far I have use the one from my Nvy Touch and from my Blackberry Bold and both have worked great. The car charger I have is for a Bold as well and it worked as it should as well. Same for the PC data cables, which as far as I know are universal. I get a bunch of them from work so I have chargers in every room and cables on every PC.

The Thunderbolt seems to use the Micro-B USB connector.

A Verizon store clerk accidentally sold me a Mini USB Car Charger earlier, but I had to take it back for a Micro-B USB Car Charger.
(I don't have a Droid, so I don't know if Droid uses Micro-USB or Mini-USB.)
