Casemate Barely There

I just received my CaseMate barely there case yesterday in the mail and I think for someone who wants to protect the back of the phone from scratches when putting it down on a desk or something this is the perfect case. This adds almost NO thickness to the phone and I like the grip it gives. Overall, if you are looking for a very thin case for the phone this is yours to get.

I will say this, DO NOT buy this case if you drop your phone or you are clumsy. This case won't do ANYTHING if you drop it from any height higher than 2 inches from the ground.

I ordered mine the other day, I was hoping for a bit of drop protection--I'm usually good with my phones, but you never know. Maybe I'll return it for a Pop or Active X. Think a Pop could fit over the Barely There? lol

Yea this thing only covers the back of the phone and I wouldn't put much faith into it if it drops.

the pop! case is awesome, i have the white/grey one. the outside of the case is hard plastic with rubber grips and the inside is silicon so your phone wont get scratched.

i am very careful as well, but no matter what there will be a few times when you will drop your phone no matter how careful you are.... and you will always if u're intoxicated...

so i WISH it covered the bottom as well. i've seen some thin cases such as this one for iphones that cover all the sides....

So last night I dropped my phone on my hardwood floor form I would say about 3-4 feet up and I was actually surprised that the phone didn't have any noticeable damage. The case actually stayed on, and the only signs of damage is on the left side of the phone when your looking at the screen. Them plastic around the screen has two very small nicks in it. No big deal, no screen scratches so I guess this case does give better protection than I thought!

I wouldn't say that, i've yet to drop mine when i've been drunk. Not this one or my last phone (moto droid). Only time i've dropped has been stupid sober moments.

Well, I got my barely there, and it's a slick case, and, well, barely there, but next to no drop protection. It's a bit unnerving that it only covers the bottom. I might order an Active X or a Pop just for comparison. The Pop is pricey though.

I'm tempted to buy a cheap gel case and see if it fits over, and then I can experiment as I please. It really is thin.
