Cool. So there is a $10 charge for the wall charger, that's the difference between the two of them? Just making sure because I'd rather have the $30 version if that's all. Also, I'm sure you can get some other brand cases in there. Can't wait to see some reviews.

I've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for this...lol! I hope they get it out soon. I plan to buy two of them.
I already have the Seidio spare battery charger (and the spare battery charger that came with my spare batteries), so I'm perfectly fine with the cradle not having a spare charger built in. - 05-05-2011, 07:59 AM #7
Hopefully this means that their vehicle dock is close behind...I'd like to switch to the seido case but not at the expense of not being able to use my navigation!
So, they come out with the vehicle dock and all at once I'll buy the case, the clip, the car dock, and the desk dock. - 05-05-2011, 05:33 PM

That's what I'm hoping too as I can't use my stock car mount anymore since I bought a Surface case. I have read the specifications for their other phones which have a car dock and they claim to have built in vibration reducer of some sort. It was more of a "no vibration" wording though so one can only hope.

I updated the original post with information that states Seidio is working on a car dock.

I have to send my Surface case back because it's either broken upon arrival or just not made to the standards I'm used to from Seidio. I kept hearing how difficult the case was to remove but in my case it's far too easy to remove. The latch on the back is clicked in place and I can remove it by applying minimal pressure to the sides. I guess it's no big deal as I got the creaking in my battery door to stop by applying some electrical tape on bottom of the battery door on each side. My main reason to use the Surface was the annoyance which is now gone.
But this thread isn't about that but rather the docking station and possibly the future release of the car mount. I just figured I'd throw my two cents in on the case and maybe someone here who has a Surface could let me know if it was indeed broken or if my issue is by design. I can't wait for thedesktop dock though as it's half the price of the OEM dock and unlike the OEM dock we'll actually see it before the HTC Thunderbolt 2 arrives.

Sorry, I chose free shipping too. I never pay more than I have to for shipping...lol. besides, usps usually only takes 3 days anyway and they can lock it in my secure mailbox. I can't imagine a phone dock ever being important enough for express shipping. I lived without it for over two months already...lol!

I choose the cheap method and it says it'll be here (estimated) on Monday. I ordered it yesterday (Wednesday).

I just received the cradle. It's nice, but it does not change the phones mode at all. The device stays vertical on screen which is a let down. But still, better than plugging it in, I guess. I'll buy the HTC branded one if it ever comes out, though.

Are there any drawbacks to using Launcher Pro? My friend said his original Droid's battery life was drained at a faster rate and it made the phone a bit sluggish. But than again, that's the Droid and not the Thunderbolt. I would like as much feedback as possible before I buy the full version. I tried the trial and it does allow my phone to enter landscape mode which is a plus.
I just wish HTC would update their phone to do it and even if it doesn't, release a dock that does do it. I'm perfectly fine with the Seidio dock but I wish I didn't have to jump through hoops to get it perfect.
