[ROM] [MikRoms] Gingeritis 3D v1.0 Beta VI [07-25-11] New Gingerb

Re: [ROM] [MikRoms] Gingeritis 3D v1.0 Beta VI [07-25-11] New Gin

Downloading now. According to the comments over there he's got camcorder audio fixed. That right there is important enough for me to ditch AOSP and CM7 right now. I know it will all get better once there's an official GB build to make ROMs out of, but until then we just have to hope. Here it goes!

That the new ROM I decided to try, and so far I'm loving it. A very smooth ROM with some cool features.

I been using it for a couple of days without issues and the audio fix is wonderful, I just hope he works out the mobile hotspot not working because I added the 30.00 unlimited hotspor feature but cant use it..

Missed that this was version VI and I have Version V....... Out of curiosity, did they have any luck getting the mobile hotspot?

Fatboy97 what radio is that you are using? I have the MR2, MR2.5, .627, and the new radio that Chingy released on my phone. I checked each one of there to see if any of them matched your's, but none did.
The MR2 radio says its 1.12.605.6
The MR2.5 radio says its 1.68.605.3
The .627 radio says its 1.70.605.0
The new Chingy radio says it 2.07.605.0

I run the same rom as you, but am getting nowhere near that type of battery life (I do run the stock battery). Do you have a link for that radio you are using?

Thank in advance

It's the Chingy radio... when you go to settings > about phone > Software information > More > the first part of the Baseband version is 1.46.00.0704w... that's what I always use for the radio number. And MR2.5 was 1.39.00.0629r, which has worked very well for me in the past, but when I was trouble shooting something else I upgraded to Chingy's.

Haha, I feel like an idiot, thanks for that though. I guess we'll see how it plays out in the next few days.

Re: [ROM] [MikRoms] Gingeritis 3D v1.0 Beta VI [07-25-11] New Gin

Hey guys, I hate to be a noob but I have a question for you all.
I've never installed a ROM, but here lately I have been wanting to try and this one looks amazing.

For the most part I think I've got it down, as in doing the nandroid backup, wiping cache, flashing, etc.

If I were to install this ROM, are the new radios included, or is that something seperate?

If you could post a link to the radio I would need, if I infact do need one, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Oh and one last question, if I install this rom, and upgrade my radio, that should be about all I have to install right? Or are there some other things that I should install?

Interesting short version of how to load a ROM, but you might want to follow: http://forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/77350-guide-how-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html, which includes wiping device, wiping cache and wiping Dalvik cache.

Also, on Post #4 of the same thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/77350-guide-how-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html#post829092 has a link to the Radio's... or just go back to the ROM page and look for Chingy's Radio post.

And the Radio is not included in with the ROM... you need to load your own Radio, but don't need to change each time if you are staying with a Gingerbread ROM... unless you want to try a different one.

Is anyone else having issues with yahoo? I can't seem to connect to my yahoo account from the email client. Also is there a way to change the transparency setting for the application drawer and notification drawer?
