So yesterday afternoon I find my tbolt locked up with an error screen.

Reboot, and all is ok for about 30 seconds, then it forces shutdown, reboots into update mode, fails and goes back to the error screen.

Figure out it's trying to update and my phone is rooted. Follow the instructions here, word for word, and unroot, flash back to stock, and flash S-on bootloader.

All good, back to 100% stock, all my apps, texts, contacts are gone. Clean, and verified not rooted. (S-on on boot screen)

Check the update screen, shows an update ready, 73 megs and may be charged for data, will start in 3 minutes. Hit OK

Error, download failed.

Doesn't matter... If I hit ok, let it wait the 3 minutes, tried it last night, tried it today 12 hours later, tried on 3g, 4g, wifi, fail, fail, fail....

Thoughts?

The only changes I made when rooted, were to install a VPN client so I could access the trouble ticket system at work and remote-desktop to my pc, and clockwork to do backups.

Never froze or removed anything, no custom roms, nothing else.

I looked around and found a full updated OTA rom on XDA and loaded it.. If there's an issue next update, I'll just start running modded roms.
