Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
I am a new rooter and my first post here. Since I just reverted back to 2.11.605.5 and rooted with Revolutionary, if I would to download the rooted OTA file you have here and rename it to PG05IMG.zip. Then put it on the root of my sd card and boot into the bootloader, is this the method I would take or not. Thanks for your help.

Is this complete stock with root or did you add/change anything?

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
Yeah, just use recovery. Make sure you make a Nandroid back up using recovery and backup apps with titanium backup.
I have used all sorts of custom roms but I always go back to stock rooted. The last rom I used that I really liked was liquid 3.2. It's AOSP, so there is no HTC Sense. You just have to do a backup and try different roms. Good luck!! - 12-21-2011, 03:14 PM #7
Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
Thanks, yet again. I first, downloaded the files, checked sums. Second, I used recovery to install the zip that had the rom in it. Then restarted the phone and installed the radios and all is working. Have new version and rooted with no data lose through the process. Thanks so much for the files and you time to help troubleshoot the new update to make it root again. Thanks again to all how helped!!

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
I've added the update Jrocker provided (V3.1 & Radio) and they are fully installed but I continure to receive the Update Push. I assumed that once my phone was updated this would stop. Is there a step I missed or something I need to do to get the update notifactaion to stop?

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
Since the update, I now have some of the apps (e.g. Blockbuster) which I previously deleted using Root Explorer. Now I can still access my system app files with Root Explorer. However, when I select an app for removal, I get a message saying it can't be removed or moved because it's Read Only. I have a feeling I'm missing something basic. Is this because of the rooted Thunderbolt update I just applied?

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
You need to load the Radio files from the hBoot screen... after you rename the file to PG05IMG.zip... power down, hold down the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Power Button at the same time, hold them down for 5-10 seconds or until you see a white screen... it will ask you if you want to update, select Yes.

Am I correct in thinking that Dock Mode is missing?

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
RPinSC, for the rom, download it and put it on your sd card by plugging in your phone on the computer and mounting it as a disc drive. Leave it on the ROOT of your SDcard meaning not in any files. Then boot up, go to ROM Manager reboot into recover, wipe the usual stuff three times to be safe.
For the Radio, put it on the root of your sdcard as well. Turn off your phone. Hold the volume down key first and leave it held, then hold down power key. Bootloader will load, now it'll check for the PG05IMG.zip (make sure you renamed it to that after you downloaded it first) then it'll ask if you want to apply the update. Press volume up to accept.
If I missed anything, please correct me someone else.Last edited by Iceycold; 12-24-2011 at 01:04 PM.

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
Should I wipe before I reboot into recover? Can I just copy the files over and then Reboot Recovery from the menu, or do I need to turn the phone off and reboot with power and vol sequence?
I really do appreciate the help. The spouse is a little upset with all of this....

Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
For the first question:
If the recovery your talking about is ROM manager no, you wipe in there. If your talking about the one that you hold the volume down key for. No, you wiped before that in ROM Manger since you need to install the ROM first.
No don't copy files over.
The volum sequence is for the radio. The thing you do in the phone is you go to rom manager and reboot into recovery then install the rom there.
Volum sequence is a bootloader not recovery, you can access recovery from there, but it isn't recovery.
ROM Manager IS recovery.
edit: Make sure you made a backup first, just incase things get hairy. - 12-24-2011, 01:20 PM #25
Re: Rooted OTA (2.11.605.9) Files
I appreciate your patience.
Here is where I am. I used Revolutionary a long time ago to root. Their screens are what I am looking at. Currently I have both files copied to the sd card. I am looking at a screen with several options, beginning "with reboot system now" , then a couple of wipes, and ends with advanced. Call it screen one.
If I select advanced, the first item is Reboot Recovery(Screen 2), and then Wipe Dalvik.
Okay, this is my confusion: which reboot should I start with?
do I use :"apply update zip"? and which zip--the ROM I expect.
I know I am taking up your holiday and I apologize
Ron
