help with the gps ...

hey everyone

well am running bamf forever 1.10 and bamf kernel 3++
n the thing is my gps can never find signal

it use too back then but lately it doesnt find anything ... what should i do?

I'm no expert, but hopefully you've checked the obvious:
1. Battery cover is on tight (that's apparently where the antennas are)
2. You have the latest radio software downloaded
3. How are your 4G/WiFi/cell signals?
4. Have you tried any other apps to check operation (EX. GPS Test (1.2.6): )

I hate to ask, but when you are looking for a gps signal, are you outside? if you are indoors and looking for a gps signal, many times you won't get one.

go into your settings and then about phone=>Software Information=>More=>Baseband Version what does that say?

the baseband version says

looks like you got the latest radios that should work with bamf... have you had this issue on other roms? maybe go back to stock and see if you have a problem, if so, call vzw for a warranty exchange.

i mean i had bamf forever 1.11 and it had the same problem so i thought it was the Rom so i came back to 1.10 and still the same..

I was using Bamf 1.11 for a few days and I love BAMF stuff, but all of a sudden I wasn't getting any text messages even though I text'd my son sitting next to me to test...he got mine and I never got his.

Also, on GPS, a couple of times I was getting this huge radius of "where I was" and never locked in like it did before. I do GEOCACHING a lot so, it wasn't handy.

I had to restore my INFECTED ETERNITY ROM and all seems to be good.

I had this issue a few months back when I tried 1.11 also.

Again, nothing against TEAM BAMF...they are solid and have not problem reccommending them. It just isn't working for me at this time.

as defcon said, try a diff rom other than bamf. altho when I was running bamf, I had no problems with gps. I'm currently running this rom for the past week or two:
