A few noob rooting questions

• Is the only way to debloat and get rid of all the VZW crap to root? Also once rooted can you selectively/manually remove bloat or is the only way to accomplish that root+a debloated ROM?
• Will there ever be a rooting solution for the Tblot that won't wipe all settings/data/apps?
• Is root also required for a comprehensive backup (meaning ALL data)? Is Titanium the way to go here for the Tbolt?
• The only way to get free unlimited WiFi tethering is also root + the free App install?

1, yes you can not touch preinstalled stuff without superuser permission.....yes you can remove them individually without flashing the rom
2. yes there most likely will be a way , i dont know when
3.i use titanium but , i havnt used Mybackup pro but i heard that is backs everything with the paid version without root
4. yes rooting is the only way to get free wifi
