Not able to receive picture/video messages after root

Just wanted to share an experience that I had the other day. I rooted purely to debloat my TB and be able to backup and get free hotsopt. In any case it seems that after I moved the stock messaging app (because I use handcent) I was no longer able to receive mms messages. Text was fine, sending mms were fine just couldn't receive them. The weird part is that it worked for awhile then just quit. So I tried restoring, didn't work. Tried bringing the stock messaging app back over, still didn't work. Did a factory reset which somehow deleted the stock messaging app and voicemail app.

So finally I un rooted and returned to stock and now everything is great. Getting ready to re-root but I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this? Is it a bad idea to to a factory reset when rooted?

Probably a permissions error, open up ROM manager (download if you don't have it) and run the operation below to fix permissions. When done, reboot
