Thrive Cases
Are there any other cases for the Thrive right now aside ffrom the two cases from Toshiba? With the Thrive being as thick as it is, those bulky cases from Toshiba would only make it much thicker. Maybe already getting into net book thickness.
Has anyone had experiences with the 360 case? Does it make thethrive too bulky and heavy? I would assume this is the thinner of the 2 Toshiba cases since it doesn't have a wrap around in the front.
I was thinking that since the Thrive has a removable/replaceable back cover, some one could make a back cover that would serve as a case as well. Just give more protection in the back, attach a hinge and front cover, that's it. That would save a lot of weight and bulk and maybe get it to weigh as much as the 10.1 with a case.
This is one thing that is making me think twice about the Thrive. If I don't find a good case for it tthen its going back to BB. - 07-13-2011, 10:50 AM #2hummingbirdhill

Re: Thrive Cases
Using the other Tablets on the market as an indicator, I don't think you'll see any 3rd party manufacturers making cases any time soon. They just aren't sure which tablets will stick and which ones will fizzle out.
With the replaceable back on the Thrive I just stuck a screen protector on it (also helps with fingerprints) and got a nice netbook carrying case to put it in. If I get any damage on the back I can always just grab a new one.
Asus still only has 2 or 3 cases on the market, here's hoping we get some sooner

Re: Thrive Cases
Today is my third day of using the portfolio 360 degree case.
I love how this case works for the Thrive to stand, either vertically or horizontally, even in my lap---Very comfortable.
I wish only that it were genuine leather instead of the faux stuff. This doesn't smell or feel like the real stuff.
EDIT: This case is heavy; it may double the weight of the Thrive. But the thickness that someone complained about . . . I don't feel that.Last edited by hummingbirdhill; 07-18-2011 at 01:45 PM.
