Permanently delete file from File Manager?
I inserted a SDHC card from my canon camera into my Toshiba Thrive which had a folder included called LOST.DIR. For some reason it has copied this folder to the File Manager in the Thrive that remains after I remove the SDHC card. I can delete this folder but after I shut off the Thrive and turn it back on it reappears. I have also renamed the folder, deleted, turned off/on the Thrive and it still comes back and with the LOST.DIR name back with it. I have deleted this folder from the SDHC card and it no longer shows there. I am lost as to why this folder will not stay deleted from File Manager and the folder contains NO files?
Thanks! - 11-17-2011, 11:08 AM #2
Re: Permanently delete file from File Manager?
That's a Linux thing. The LOST.DIR folder is where the OS stores recovered data when fixing a corrupted filesystem. You'll see it in the Internal Storage, as well as any memory card and USB devices you connect into your Thrive.
