External storage for the Thrive?

I have the Thrive and a Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini with 160 GB space and was wondering if there is an easy way to connect the 2 for greater storage capacity? If there is, and you have info to share, please do so for somebody that is not well versed in technology terminology. (Follow directions well but need them from "Turn unit on" to the final steps.

Unit is the AT100 w/Android version 4.0.4 and Kernel version 2.6.39.4-g2388484, if that's any help.
