GPS Problems Needed to Fix

So I have the Galaxy Showcase (i500) from what I can tell it's a copy of the US Cellular Galaxy S. I'm having the awful GPS problems that others have had. I currently have only had it a week and I'm willing to work out the kinks myself.

I saw that in the past you could mess with the LBSTEST Mode and tweak it but that *#*# code doesn't seem to be working for me.

It's got 2.2.1 on it...any and all help is appreciated.

I updated to gingerbread and had the gps issue where it would be ok for a min or two then loose the lock. I ended up rooting it, tossing clockwork mod all (red) on it which I hate but works, then flashed the gps fix. Be carefull not to flash the cm7 gps fix for the epic as that doesn't do anything lol
