    Default Software Update

Did anyone else get a OTA update today or a message recently for a new update? I did and now its saying access to the software update services is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later. I didn't know Us Cellular was supposed to be getting a update or what its for. Does anyone know?

Here is a link to the non OTA update:

    Here are the release notes:

    Release Notes

    - Music Hub 3.0 added.

    - Yahoo bookmark added.

    - Number 611 no longer ECB (Emergency Call Back mode)

    - When voice recording for a long period of time, turn off the backlight and make the LED blink.

    - GMS r3 package applied.

    - S-Voice App version 4.11.9295 applied.

Not mentioned is that the Google local search has been removed . Not the end of the world, but hate seeing features taken away.

I just did the update and will be curious if I notice any differences in my daily use of it.

What exactly is all the fuss over "universal" or "local" search?

Universal search let's you search the phone +web for example let's say I search for bob
It would pull up my Bob contact and my bob app plus Google search results. With the new update when you search for Bob you would only get the Google search results

So, I assume that this "Universal search" must be a patent violation for it to have been removed. No big deal I guess. Thanks yodatom!

This could be related to my problem i have the dropped calls but it is wile using a headset. Both wired and bluetooth. I have the dropped calls after the screen comes on for no reason during the call and within a few seconds no call. Last night the issue was so bad the moment I would turn off the screen it would immediately turn on and after 10 pluse times of this I dropped my 5th call of the night wile the signal strength is good to great. I love this phone but this is getting old.

So..I think I fixed it but don't know for sure it's only been a day and not many calls...but I did the update about 2 weeks ago or so and last night I did a master reset on my phone and I think I fixed it. Ill let you know after a few more days if it fixed it or not.
