My Charge Died

I'm running a stock Charge. Not rooted etc... Yesterday I shut it down and put in a replacement battery. I hit the power up button, it starts the boot sequence and then just spins. Verizon is sending me a new phone. Has anyone else experienced this problem? The thing is bricked.

was the battery an OEM or generic battery?

Hmmm sounds like a battery issue not the phone.

was it a cheap battery off eBay......

What happens when you put the OEM back in? There is a little piece of code in the kernel that will not allow generic batteries on Samsung devices. It will not allow them to charge (but they at least ran on the Fassy) maybe they changed it for the Charge that it would not even run.

I have Hyperion batteries and they run as well as oem.
