Group texts from iphones

I received a group text from an iphone (not realizing that it was a group/mass text) and I hit reply (there's no option for reply all). Who saw my reply? A friend told me it only goes back to the original sender(iphone user) of the group/mass text message. Others say that there's no way to know for sure. I received one reply to the group message on my droid but that's it.

I am quite embarrassed that I had no indication of it being a group text(no other names at top of message I received or little icons of people). The only reason I knew it was a group text was by looking at the message details and I could see the phone numbers it was sent to. I also asked the iphone user that sent me the group text.

I use the stock messaging app on my Verizon Samsung Droid Charge. There is no place in the stock app that gives you the option to "reply-all". So, the question is, who saw my reply? Just the original sender or the entire group?
