battery life goes from bad to worse thanks to vzw

I like many of the other posters have had a problem with battery life getting sometimes less than 4 hours on a full charge so today i decided i had to try somthing different. i went to the verizon store to try and swap out the battery or the phone for that matter. The tech guy proceded to tell me what was happening to me was "normal". I knew this was not true after hearing the countless storys online that had accounts of people recieveing well over 12 hours of battery life. They tech guys proceded to install Advanced task killer and some ap called phone info. Now my battery is even worse. I called 611 and the lady told me they had to "troubleshoot" the problem before they could do any swapping. Has anyone had any problems like this? They lady on the phone was actually very helpful and said i still had my 14 day worry free date but i thought it was just appauling that the verizon guy went ahead and downloaded thses aps on my phone

ATK with autokill will only kill your battery, and can cause force close and other issues.

Some people say that task killer does bad things for the phone, all though i don't know if it's true quite a few people have done testes, and 95% of the time task killer made the device have worse battery life.

exactly this is what i told the guy and he said thats not possible smh at vzw i will have a repacement battery or phone tomorrow

to be honest ATK is a 3d party app that Verizon does not support and will not support and this rep really has no idea on its effects. I have tested its effects and i know that ATK will kill the phone and so will Lookout i would remove it as the Linix OS does not need a task killer. its not like a windows device. this should inmprove your performance.

and and part of the troubleshooting is removeing all 3rd party applications to see if one of them caused the issue.

I'm at 12hrs 38mins of 4g use on the day and still have 26% remaining. My use was very light today, but my worse so far was 13hrs on 4g before killing it. 3g use gets me to 20hrs, no problem. I seem to be in the middle of the crowd, here, with many reporting better.
