Can i buy a droid charge on ebay and pop my Thunderbolt sim into the Droid Charge? Will that work?

Should work. I used my SIM from TB in my Charge. Just went back to TB by putting the sim back in TB to do a wipe of the phone for selling. Worked perfectly. When finished, put the sim right back in Charge and was up and running in no time.

The SIM will program your phone, and *228 will ruin the SIM... as far as I know.

try doing *228 @ verizon store, so you don't f^ ur phone

*228 is NOT used for 4G phones. All you have to do is take out your sim card, put it in the Charge and you are done, seriously. I've done it at work with swapping out the sim from my phone to a 4G USB modem, its very seamless, like GSM users are used to.
