4G tethering with Barnacle and Wireless Tether very slow.

My droid charge is rooted. I'm tried using Barnacle and Wireless Tethering for root but they both are very slow compare to the verizon mobile hotspot I was using before. I'm getting 0.8 to 1 mbps down and 0.5 to 0.6 up. Anyone having this same problem and is there a fix for it?

I was getting the exact opposite with slow speeds on the verizon mobile hotspot and fast with barnacle. Also pdanet was fast but the built-in usb tether was dog slow.

My Verizon mobile hotspot became so slow that I gave up trying to use it.
