Droid DNA and multitouch (no, it's not broken)
I've had a few people ask about multitouch on the Droid DNA, suggesting that it's broken and won't recognize more than two points. This is incorrect.
(And, frankly, I should have figured it out on my own.)
To connect to HTC MediaLink, you do a three-finger swipe on the screen. So we know it can recognize more than two points. The catch is that this keeps other applications from recognizing those third, fourth and fifth touches. However, if you turn on the "show touches" option in the ICS+ developer settings, you can clearly see the phone is recognizing more than two points.
To "fix" things for other applications (and are there really that many apps that need three or more touchpoints? Probably more than I think.), go to Settings>Display & Gestures and uncheck HTC Gestures. That's it. Apps will now recognize more than two touchpoints.
This works on the One X and One S as well.
