Just use the built in car app. If you type in"car" in your home screen search widget, enable local search,it will show. Can create an icon using a file explorer.

Thanks. I got to the app, but couldn't create a shortcut. I have Astro file explorer installed, but can't create a shortcut to the Car app still. How do you do this?

Install QuickShortcutMaker from the Market. Run that App and search for 'Car' in applications. It will find the hidden Car App and create a shortcut for you on the Home Screen.

Does anyone know if you can edit the car app? I would like to add different music apps to the dock.

Any way to edit the defaults on the stock car app? Don't use Pandora, stock music player doesn't recognize Play cache, I prefer my own navigation app, etc.

I don't think the stock app is editable. Try Car Home from Google play.

If you have Tasker, you can also use that to create a widget of the Car app.
