    Any way to not permanently remove the usb plug???

    Not sure. If you have insurance. You could always say you have problems and get a fresh one and sell it.

    I am guessing he broke the usb on one phone, want so transplant it to another, then back again when he can get the good one fixed or get a replacement

    If its me you are referring to... no. I got the DNA two days ago and just want the charging plug removed temporarily. That is if I can.
