Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
Until we see the official specs of the M7, I can only go off of rumors, but:
Both have a 1080 hd screen
5" screen for the DNA; 4.7" for the M7
16 GB internal storage versus 32 for the M7
2 GB of RAM for both
S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5 gHz on the DNA vs 1.7 on the M7 (haven't heard anything concrete about the M7's processor other than the clock speed)
Adreno 320 GPU vs. ?
2020 mAh battery vs 2400 mAh
8 MP back, 2.1 MP front vs. 12 or 13 MP, 2.1 MP
The M7 has a little more going for it with a larger battery, more internal storage, and a higher megapixel camera (which doesn't necessarily mean that it's better), but the DNA still has the larger screen.

Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
If you want more storage and better battery life, then you'll prefer the M7. If the bigger screen with good battery life and decent storage is what you want, the DNA is for you. I think it's a personal preference issue that each person will have to decide for themselves.
In my case, I can't imagine selling the DNA to get the M7. It's just not that much of an upgrade.

Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
I'll definitely be grabbing the M7 if it comes to VZW. 5" is too big in my opinion, and I want the bigger battery and more storage. And, I've got 5 upgrades this year so why not?

I like my DNA and I don't think a phone will be able to surpass it in a long time. The M7 really has only 3 differences a dedicated camera button, bigger battery, and the storage.

Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
I'll be keeping my DNA. It's honestly the first phone that I've been a 100% satisfyed with.
Great screen. Great internals. Great quality build. Premium feel. Excellent camera. And it's running JB.
I realize that it may not have 4.2, but honestly, for me, it doesn't bring many additional gains that aren't lust worthy. Photosphere and lockscreen widgets aren't must haves for me. If I need info at a glance, I could just disable that lockscreen completely and see my widgets that way.
So....I'm sticking with the DNA until either Verizon gets another Nexus (doubt it) or the X Phone blows my mind. The M7 ain't cutting it enough for me. - 01-28-2013, 10:57 PM #13

The only reason the M7 would be attractive is the storage and the fact that it will get a lot more love from accessory makers.

How long will the DNA last? DNAs won't stop working when the M7 comes out.

I think the new norm for any Phone to be at the top of a manufacture's line is 6 months or less. After that it is still a good phone but moves further down line to a new price point.

Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
As far as I know the m7 is rumored to be sprint exclusive and is intended to replace the evo 4g lte. I don't think it'll come to Verizon at all so you DNA users should have nothing to worry about.
Verizon isn't going to replace their #1 phone when it just came out, they aren't that stupid ( or are they? ).

I'm sorry about that, last time I looked at anything about it. It was only being tested on sprints network. I was kinda hoping for it to be sprint only. We are long overdue for a killer exclusive phone. I mean you guys on Verizon already have the DNA, arguably the best phone in the android market at the moment.

Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
And Tmobile hasnt had a flagship device from HTC since the Amaze two years ago. That network is due for an exclusive if any was. You got the EVo LTE version of the One X. Tmobile got the One S. Sooo not a flagship. The One S was a slap in the face since it was scarcely better than the Amaze and the Sensation. The two former highend devices they decide to release within months of each other and it was just a really bad idea. Tmobile is the only carrier not rumored to get this device. If any network should get it exclusively(I dont like them) its them. Not everyone wants a large tablet like device(Note2) and the GS3. The One X refresh didnt come to any network. And its STILL only available on AT&T. Verizon gets the DNA(another exclusive). Sprint at least got a version of the One X. Tmobile hasnt received an HTC flagship in years.

Re: HTC Droid DNA vs HTC M7 plus how long will the DNA last ?
A flagship is a vessel used by the commanding officer of a group of naval ships, reflecting the custom of its commander, characteristically a flag officer, flying a distinguishing flag. Used more loosely, it is the lead ship in a fleet of vessels, typically the first, largest, fastest, most heavily armed, or best known. The One X is/was the flagship. Not the entire One series.
