Is DNA affected by new federal mandate on unlocked phones?

Does anyone know if the new federal mandate on unlocked phones will affect the DNA? I was considering this phone for a family member who travels internationally.

I will call Verizon, but I honestly don't trust anything their people say. lol.

No, DNA is not affected. The phone is already sold as Unlocked.

Its unlocked out of the box and even if it wasn't Verizon would unlock it for you if you called Global Services and asked.
