Does anyone know if there's an app that allows you to hide status bar icons? I'd like to leave Bluetooth and NFC on all the time but not have them take up room on the status bar. Any ideas on if this is possible?

I don't know of any apps but if you root & flash a custom ROM, they have a lot of that removed.

I hate looking at the notification bar period.

Install a custom launcher such as Nova or Apex and toggle that bar.

I'd like to hide it too and could via Nova but I find I need to keep it visible so I can see my alerts such as Breaking News, app update notifications, Yahoo Sports alerts and other push notifications.

I also use the notification bar quite a bit. I'd like to root, just haven't looked into it for this phone yet. Kinda scares me every time I do it to one of my phones. Having Google wallet would be nice too

ViperDNA rom has the ability to remove or theme any of the notification bar icons inculding the clock, alarm, and battery. If you rooted Viper is a must try rom and IMO is the best because of the mods available.
