Re: So exactly what did this update do?
I can't tell that anything has changed, but I didn't have any problems before accepting the OTA.

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
It seems to have fixed the mobile hotspot for me, but I didn't have any other problems with the phone besides that. My wife has had a lot of Bluetooth audio problems with hers in her car, so I should find out tomorrow if that is fixed for her and will report back.

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
"Enhanced Recent Apps functionality has been improved"
I think this refers to the fact that often times, certain applications (Google Chrome for instance) often appeared as just a black square instead of a screenshot of the app. At least, that's how it looks so far for me. - 02-15-2013, 04:17 AM #7
Re: So exactly what did this update do?
I made a few outgoing calls via bluetooth last night which I had a lot of trouble with prior. Hope I am not jinxing myself by typing this!

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
As far as I can see, all it did for me was put my phone out of commission for 10 minutes
Bluetooth always worked with my Motorola handsfree. I never had a problem with wifi. Don't hare about Hulu. At least it didn't BREAK anything!

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
This is exactly what I was afraid of. So let's see if I have this right -- Vz "fixed" stuff most of us don't know or care about and left untouched the real problem(s) with this otherwise wonderful phone. I guess they didn't get the memo about the proverbial '800 lb gorilla.'

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
This no SIM card thing is getting out of hand. While it may only be happening to a select number of handsets (2 out of 3 for me), it's common enough on those devices and crippling enough that it is hard to overlook as a "well, they'll fix it eventually." And I don't even know who to blame at this point.

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
Update wiped my phone. The frustration I'm feeling right now marks the first time in more than a year that I'm considering a return to an iPhone. Sometimes the lack of quality control in the Android ecosystem is insane.

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
My DNA would lose WiFi connection after I would place it on the charger. When I'd try to open up Settings screen, or the WiFi screen (if I was lucky enough to be able to open Settings), it would display a completely blacked out page!
Only fix would be to reboot, after which it would allow me to go into Wifi settings, and reconnect my DNA to my wifi.
It was a total pain, but it would only happen a few times a day, and otherwise, my DNA worked great!
Well, other then lousy Bluetooth when my DNA would connect to my Volt.
Both problems seem to have been resolved, as I haven't seen the black screen all day yesterday, and sound from my Volt's speakers when using DNA to make calls is vastly improved. - 02-16-2013, 07:22 AM #24

Re: So exactly what did this update do?
The only Wifi issues I had before were apps like Tunesync and FTP Server not working. I thought it was me, however after this update I can do a wireless sync with my laptop.
One problem I've noticed since day one is that when you try to send an email through the playstore (feedback to a developer) it opens a mail but comes up with a warning "No accounts exist. Please add an account". The thing is I'm already signed in to my gmail account. Anyone else have this problem?
