I've had a problem with the vibrate profile going back to when I was using the ThunderBolt. I used to use the Profile widget to switch from Normal to Vibrate whenever I needed the sounds off. At some point it stopped working. I could never figure out what was causing it but thought maybe it was one of the software updates or an app. When I decided to get the DNA, I figured vibrate would work again, but it doesn't. Vibrate works for phone calls, but doesn't for notifications whenever the vibrate profile is active. Also, if I turn vibrate on within specific app's settings (i.e. mail and messages) it will then vibrate. But that makes it vibrate all the time and I only want vibration when the vibrate profile is on. I don't want it to vibrate when I have sounds on. The fact that it has done this across two phones and that I haven't seen where anyone else has posted about this makes me believe it must be an app causing this. I found that I have 68 apps (not counting system apps) that have the permission to control the vibrator, which seems like it would be the permission that would allow an app to cause this. It's not worth the trouble for me to uninstall/reinstall that many apps for this issue, but I'm curious if anyone else has ever had this happen or has any ideas why this may be happening.

I think it might a change w/in Sense (or Android). I just checked on my phone, it works the same as you described.
