Weird problem with headphone jack/voice search?
Weird problem here. When my phone is plugged into headphones or an aux cord, at random times, voice search will launch, place a 1 second call out to the most recent phone call, and hang up. This can happen a few times in a row. At first I thought it was an issue with Pandora, but now I'm convinced its a problem with voice search and my headphone jack after it occured while streaming video with headphones in. Any one else have this issue? It has occured since I got the phone, before and after the update. If I launch voice search without the headphone jack initiated, there is no issue.

No issues here, you could try clearing data in voice search and if that doesn't work it I guess there's a slight chance it could be a hardware issue with your jack.

Does your headphones have controls on the cord? Not all are compatible with jelly bean. You may be triggering a command from the cord.

It has a volume switch. But that's it. Its not a mobile headset.

Re: Weird problem with headphone jack/voice search?
Ive got the same problem with my DROID x2. Im pretty sure its the headphones. Possibly a short in the cord. I got a new set of ear buds and the problem stopped for a few months now its back. Both had the straight jack on earphones. I think the angled jack would have been a better choice. But I would say try different earbuds. seems to solve the problem for me. For a while anyway.
