So Verizon does not support MMS over Wi-Fi, correct?

Why is this? Will we ever see a change, or is there any way to bypass this with root access?

They don't. I am really not sure why not. Also, I doubt that you can MMS via Wi-Fi with root access.

You can always use hangouts (aka Google Talk) that's how I send MMS when I have only WiFi.

Hmm, never tried. I think you need to at least have the app, and that would probably mean u would need to be on Google+. I tried to send it to a contact without and it didn't work.

Then it doesn't really seem all that special :/ I use it for video chatting, otherwise my only options are Facebook, Google+ etc. I would use IM apps like Kik or Line, but there just isn't a big enough user base for any of them to be effective for me. I don't understand how Line has 50,000,000 downloads on the Play Store, but I've got ONE of my contacts that has it. I really wish they would've caught on.

If you guys are rooted , you can modify your messaging app to send and receive mms over WiFi . You just need to change a line or two in the smali code .

If you could show me how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

This is the smali edit .

in Message+PRIME\smali\com\android\mms/MmsConfig.smali

find: .method public static isSupportSendViaWifi()Z

replace whole method with

.method public static isSupportSendViaWifi()Z
.locals 1

const/4 v0, 0x1

return v0
.end method
