OEM Charger silly design?
The charger for the Incredible 2 just seems darn cheap. It wobbles in wall sockets and lacks a solid, secure feeling. And the prongs that slide out, is that a safety feature? I have to use 2 hands to pull the cable out or the whole prong assembly comes with it!
Maybe I'm spoiled by the build quality of the phone itself; it's rock solid! I know it's not a big deal, but I'm just wondering if any of you have the same issues with your charger.

Re: OEM Charger silly design?
I agree, on more than one occasion I have plugged the phone at night to charge only to find out the next morning the phone is dead because the part that plugs into the wall has come loose just enough from the charging cable to not send any juice to the phone. It is maddening

Re: OEM Charger silly design?
Yeah. it's a good idea, the foldability and the ability to use different prongs for different countries, but it's just not very well executed. I have to reach behind a desk to plug/unplug mine and it's always a precarious affair trying to get it plugged in without flopping the prongs down or sliding the insert out of the track. I'm never quite certain I have it all the way plugged in. Is there anything magic about this one in terms of voltage or whatever or can I just go buy any old cell phone plug a the store to replace it?

Re: OEM Charger silly design?
Hilarious I've had the phone since Friday and had this usurious the first day. Longtime BlackBerry charger that I've had for over 12 devices finally took a #2 so this really blows. I may order a BlackBerry charger from Amazon

I use the charger for my novatel mifi. It has a long cord, foldable prongs, and a 1 amp output. HTC charger is running the mifi

If anyone is coming from the OG DInc, the charger that came with it has the same electrical ratings as the one that comes with the DInc 2. My guess is that those specs would be fairly standard.

Re: OEM Charger silly design?
I would think any micro usb charger would be fine, I believe part of the micro usb standard is the voltage supplied. Just make sure you trust the maker to hold to the standard.
