[Q] What could be causing 3G / Data connectivity problems?

It takes a minute or more to load simple non-flash web pages & the 3G fluxuates ridiculously..
Any Ideas!?

Have you gotten all the OTA's?

Also, what is your signal strength? Not the Bars - the actual signal strength listed under menu -> Settings -> About phone -> status

The signal strength is a negative number like -92dBm The smaller the number the better your signal.

-97 is not bad. you should have no connectivity problems with that.

Does it happen all the time or just in specific locations?

Sorry to have to ask all these questions, I'm just trying to isolate if it's a tower or phone problem.

It could be that you are just not near a tower. What does the speedtest.net app say? Make sure the batter cover is seated properly and you could try toggling between global and cdma mode.

Also side note. You may want to factory reset after the OTA update. Some of us have had issues after the OTA but they are cleared up with a factory reset.

Sometimes just taking out the battery for a minute then replacing it helps

That's about what I get. I think that is pretty good. I think 3g tops out at 2mbps anyways. I was only getting 0.7mbps on my fascinate.

Maybe I had a good fascinate..
At least 2 down and 1 up
Sometimes 4-5 down and 2-3 up..

I'm just sick of these longer then normal load times..
