This is an interesting one. Friends daughter goes camping, dinc2 sitting way too close to fire. They get it out of harms way, but it did wrinkle back cover and distort lens on camera cover. Daughters boyfriend has plenty of money, buys new Dinc 2. Cool. I get my hands on phone, pop the slightly melted cover off. Internals look good. Nothing looks obviously warmed or melted. Can't see what is going on with phone because owner had pattern lock on and tried too many times. HBOOT phone and do factory reset. It boots normal, but no reception. Pop cover, bend connector tabs on phone to maybe make contact. Can now make phone calls and send texts, very slow though. Also has triangle over signal bars. Went to Verizon and tried new back to check if that would work. Still no 3g. Am thinking it may have cooked LTE radio. WiFi does work tho. Any ideas? Am only in 3g area, so which network should I be using? Cdma or what?
