    Default Firmware update

Just got the firmware update for my Incredible 2, which it seems a,lot of Android phones are getting. I wonder if this means the ICS update is soon to follow...like in a month or two.

According to HTC, the Incredible 2 is on track to get ICS by the end of August.

Here is a link to update documentation.

This and a few Verizon bloatware updates in the last few days would indicate that they are setting the DInc2 for ICS soon ... "by the end of August" is only 10-11 weeks away

It seems to be a big update for two relatively small improvements. I'm sitting here under my tin foil hat suspecting more sinister lol.. What the heck, I went ahead and updated.

Yea all I've noticed is my phone acting goofy since the update. It might be apps but I'm skeptical too.

I haven't had any problems since the update. In fact, it seems to be running a little smoother.

Since the update I no longer see my contacts pictures within the text messaging app (stock). Is anyone else running in to this?

I've gone back to using handcent sms. That was kind of a silly thing to miss when they were QC'ing the upgrade.

one big difference not really advertised (mentioned in newer thread here) is the ability to now take screenshots on the DInc2 power/homekey much like other devices.

I purchased ScreenShot It months ago... which explains why its been making 2 shutter sounds and saving multiple pics in different locations.

How do I screen shoot? Is there a setting that I have to turn on?

Power button and home at the same time. Much like other devices.
Should hear shutter sound and of course you need to be updated to the latest firmware

Anybody else having an issue where the YouTube links no longer ask if you want to use the web or the YouTube app? Every YouTube link now just uses the web, which sucks!
