Anyone know when Verizon turned off hotspot access on the Incredible 2? Verizon says i have to pay for it now......unbelievable!

Hotspot is available at no extra charge if you switch to Verizon's new shared everything plan. I've found such a switch more expensive but less so than adding $20 to an old plan for hotspot. You're totally screwed if you're still on an unlimited data plan though.

IIRC, there should be a 2GB for $20 feature you can add on top of an unlimited data plan on 3G phones.

In my part of the country (NYC), it was never free - it's $20 a month for 2gb (you can subscribe to it above and beyond your normal contract, so you can turn it off whenever you want).
From what I've read on other forums, many people who have turned it on themselves got bills from Verizon. You may have flown under the radar for a while and they're just noticing it now.

    Thumbs up Re: Hotspot

Follow step below ,it unlocks your stock hotspot at no charge, it will count towards your data, so be careful it uses alot of data, unless you have unlimited.

Been using it for over a year, never been charged for it, but i have been grandfathered into unlimited data.
