Different Contacts in Lists

I just picked up a Dinc2 and I've noticed the list of contacts that comes up in "People" is different from the list that shows up to add to "Favorites". (Favorites list is longer) There are some that show up under the Favorites to add that I'd like to get rid of, or add to People. Why are there 2 different lists?

Your phone pulls contacts from your gmail account primarily. It also allows for apps like facebook, last.fm, flickr, etc to pull down contacts. So depending on how you have your phone syncing will dictate the number of contacts. When you are in People you can hit Menu and choose View, from there you can adjust the amount of contacts you see.
