Hi Everyone:

This is my first smart phone and i decided on the droid incredible 2..
I seem to be having an issue, hopefully one of you in the know can help

Im assuming when you get an email. or a facebook message to your phone
that a notification sound is supposed to ring, because there is a setting to set those tones..
which i have done.

However, whenever receiving an email message or a facebook message, the message comes through but the notification sound does not ring... Is anyone having a similar issue? Is this is a defect? Have i not set something correctly in the settings? Can someone help? It would much appreciated

Go into Settings > Sound > Volume and check the box "Use incoming call volume for notifications" I had the same issue but this fixed it. You can also download a app called "Sound Manager" from the market place. It's a free app. Hope this helps

thanks for your help:

i figured it out
you actually have to hit the menu button
while youre in the mail app and facebook app
and there is a setting in each individual app (when hitting the menu key) for notification sounds

hopes this helps anyone else who is as clutzy as me LOL
